Loyal Stircklin
I spent a day with Loyal Stricklin in their Nashville studio, documenting their process as they built leather goods and garments by hand.

Rather than direct or pose, I focused on observing and letting the craft and environment speak for themselves.
Their studio is full of character. Tools that show their age. Materials stacked and ready. My goal was to capture that feeling. Honest images that show the hands, the focus, and the quiet pride in what they do.
Alongside the documentary work, we also created a series of product photographs to support their web and social platforms. The team responded right away and started putting the images to use.
What I’ve always admired about Loyal Stricklin is their commitment to doing things right. The design, the materials, the way they work. It’s all rooted in care and intention. They’re building things to last.
As someone who’s drawn to makers and craftspeople, this project hit all the right notes. I’m always curious about how things are made. I try to shoot in a way that reflects that curiosity by focusing on the details, the tools, and the small decisions that shape the final piece.
