Rituil

When Rituil approached me to create imagery for their launch campaign and website, they knew they didn’t want standard product photography.

As a brand rooted in craftsmanship, with every piece made in Portugal, they wanted that story to be front and center. From the outset, it was clear this wasn’t just about products—it was about honoring the people and places behind them.

Rather than stage a disconnected shoot elsewhere, I proposed something more immersive: we’d travel to Portugal to photograph the makers in their own environments and build the lifestyle visuals in the same setting. This would allow the brand’s authenticity to come through.

We spent five days on the ground in Portugal visiting ceramic studios, cork forests, and rug makers that echoed the brand’s clean, elemental aesthetic. With a budget devoted primarily to travel, the production was intentionally lean: just me and the founder handling everything from logistics to shooting. This tight setup allowed us to stay nimble and build trust with the makers we were photographing.

The final imagery tells a cohesive story that helped define Rituil’s visual identity. Since launch, the brand has been featured in Goop, stocked in luxury destinations like the Four Seasons, and adopted by high-end spas and wellness spaces all with visuals that speak directly to the care, origin, and beauty of their products.
